Cincotti : Q1 - Why Medford Public Schools?

I would tell them Medford public schools as a whole carry acquit funding and teachers for special needs I know first hand, when I was young I had a problems with math for instants it was a tremendous help to me Having said that! It would be adventatges to send your children to our Medford Public Schools since your tax dollars are paying for IT ANYWAY!

Cincotti : Q2 - Adequate service for gifted and talented?

Absolutely. Having bin in business for many years in the City of Medford, I have had many opportunities to decuss our educational system with parents and students alike. I feel that The Medford Public School System is adequately designed to handle the gifted students, is there room for improvements? most certainly the ability is in the child and the teachers are the key

Cincotti : Q3 - Computer-skills Curriculum

I would rate it favorably at this point, The quality of our computer equipment was state of the art at the time of implantation of our new schools How ever state of the art will always need to be upgraded

Cincotti : Q5 - Comparisons with surrounding communities

First of all I would not compare The Medford Public School System with those of the surrounding communities lets be concerned with our self's. I believe the only incentive necessary is the parents involvement with there children

Cincotti : Q6 - Religion in Medford's Public Schools?

as we salute our nations flag to honor all it stands for as a daily exercise, so shouldn't every student have right to honor there religious believes (or none)

Cincotti : Q7 - Remaining in touch with school reality

I have always bin in touch with our teaching staff on a one on one level not necessarily just at PTO's having no children of my own in this school system, moreover I am costly engaging in dialog with many boy's and girls that may seek my council, as they come thru my place of business

Cincotti : Q8 - Energy Costs

I would like to answer the question this way. First off I think this question is ahead of it self (A) we have no knowledge how this winter will be (B) we all are aware of what projected energy costs may be. However! there many avenues we can take to decrease our composition of energy

  1. bid for fuel and electricity through alternate suppliers
  2. better control of our HVAC systems as it relates to operating sequences
  3. control demand use/i.e. start and stop of motorized equipment
  4. such as timing controlled devices to allow for staggered usage

Cincotti : Q9 - Attracting and retaining excellent teachers

My feelings are that if we pay a person addquley, we would expect nothing but the best of that person. To Quote my union slogan "a fairs days work for a fair days wage" lastly as a School Committee Person I need to be vigilant at attracting the highest quality personnel
